Do you like Irish Coffee? Here a perfect recipe for you
Sometimes you can drink it during Christmas holidays in the USA or during St Patrick’s day if you’re in Ireland. However, if Irish Coffee is one of your favorite beverages, this is the perfect recipe for you. Today we’ll discover how to make a perfect Irish coffee cake!
Ingredients for about 8 people
180 g flour
50 g unsweetened cocoa powder
100 g butter
200 g brown sugar
3 tablespoons espresso
2 eggs
1 vanilla-flavored baking powder tablespoon
Pinch of salt
For the ganache
200 gr dark chocolate
1⁄2 cup whipping cream
2 whisky tablespoons
Preheat oven to 350. Beat flour, vanilla-flavored baking powder and unsweetened cocoa powder until it becomes creamy, without clumps. Liquefy butter in hot coffee and beat into flour mixture. Add eggs, salt and sugar. Whip very quickly. Bake the cake for about 40 minutes, then check to see if it’s done. In the meantime bring whipping cream to a boil and add dark chocolate. Pour whiskey in the cream and put the ganache in the fridge for about 20 minutes.
When the cake is done, whip the ganache and spread some of it on the cake. Garnish with coffee beans if you wish!
